It was a good friend and doctor who tipped me off about Master Clinic. I got a scar in the upper part of my scalp after a cut that wouldn’t heal. And hair wouldn’t grow in the scar afterwards.

I started treatment at Master Clinic in June 2021. To begin with, I took a couple of injection treatments that stimulate hair re-growth, using my own blood. I love the idea that it is actually my own body that contributes to new hair growth.

The next step was a hair transplant in which hair from the back of my head was harvested and located in the site of the scar. Oh, honestly … coming to Master Clinic was like arriving in Hollywood. You come to a beautiful place, out-and-out lovely; anything but the sterile, cold, hospital environment that I had imagined.  Before the hair transplant I was a bit anxious: a bit, kind of, “don’t touch” my sore. But I was looked after from the first second and taken care of from A to Z. It’s a wonderful place to come to, from the receptionist to the nurse and to the actual doctor. I felt entirely secure all the way. The actual treatment was pain-free; I was given an anaesthetic and was awake all the time. The doctor kept me informed and explained everything that was happening along the way.  

The next day it was a bit tender. But, WHAT a follow-up! Everyone should have doctors like that. I received daily follow-up, explaining clearly what I should be doing; it felt secure and good.  

I started treatment in June and have already got more than half an inch of hair in the scar. In the meantime, I was helped by my sister-in-law, who is a hairdresser. She helped me to find a perfect hairdo that camouflaged the scar and that was straightforward to cut myself. I am a women, but have always thought that this was a clinic and treatment for men. It is fantastic to know that there is somewhere that can do something for women who experience hair loss in a different way from men.

I’m to have another treatment in six months, in order to completely fill out the area. But even now I can put my hair in a ponytail, which I’ve not been able to do for a long time. Best of all is the feeling that I have when together with my nearest and dearest. That I can feel good about myself again.
